CONTRACTUAL WARRANTY TERMS
(Legislative Decree no. 24 of 2 Feb. 2002 assimilating the European
Directive 99/44/EC)
This certificate pertains exclusively to the Manufacturer's
Contractual Terms of Warranty in favour of Consumers.
The following terms shall be effective for a 24-month period from
the date of delivery of the equipment.
Nardi guarantees this equipment against defects in workmanship
for a 24-month period from the date of delivery. Nardi further
undertakes to remedy such defects by repairing or replacing
defective components at no cost to the Consumer.
The date of delivery will be evidenced on the relevant delivery
document issued by the vendor or any other document (e.g. cash
receipt voucher) bearing the name of vendor, the date of delivery of
the equipment, and a description of the equipment (type and model).
The Contractual Warranty specified hereunder may only apply
throughout the afore-mentioned period, subject to the following
terms:
- the equipment will be used solely for household purposes, hence
any professional or business-related purposes are hereby excluded;
- any installation and connection of the equipment to utility mains
(electricity, water or gas) will be made by qualified personnel in
full compliance with the User's Manual and, if applicable, the
related Installation Instructions attached to the equipment;
- operation of the equipment and its periodic maintenance will
carried out in accordance with prescriptions and instructions
specified in the User's Manual;
- any repairs will be made solely by the Manufacturer's authorised
Technical Support Centres and only original replacement parts can be
used to that effect.
Where, during the Warranty period, a defect is found and recognised
which is attributable to faulty workmanship, Nardi will undertake to
remedy such defect by repairing or replacing defective components at
no cost to the Consumer.
If the same defect should occur repeatedly or repair expenses
should be deemed excessive, Nardi may, in its sole judgement,
undertake to replace the faulty equipment by another of the same
value and functionality.
Any repair or replacement of the equipment or components thereof
will not extend the duration of this Warranty, which will in any
case continue to be valid until the expiry of the original 24-month
term.
Nardi's Contractual Warranty coverage applies to the entire
territory of the European Union and related servicing will be
provided by Nardi's own network of Authorised Technical Support
Centres.
As a result, Warranty will not cover equipment sold or used in a
non-EU country. In the latter case, Consumers may refer to the
Contractual Warranty Terms from time to time granted by Nardi in the
relevant country.
The Manufacturer's Contractual Warranty will not include any
servicing and/or repairs and/or replacement parts whose faultiness
has resulted from:
· the non-observance of operating and maintenance instructions
specified in the User's Manual supplied with the equipment
· user's negligence or carelessness
· incorrect installation
· maintenance or repairs performed by unauthorised personnel and/or
use of non-original replacement parts
· damage caused by transport, or force majeure circumstances and/or
events which in any case cannot be related to faulty workmanship of
the equipment.
Any removable components, i.e. knobs, handles, burner caps, grill
racks, lamps, glass and enamelled parts, external piping, seals,
catalytic panels and any accessories and consumables will not be
covered by this Warranty unless evidence is produced that defects in
such components are attributable to faulty workmanship.
Warranty also excludes technical service for the installation and
connection of the equipment to utility mains, the cost of which, in
addition to any replacement parts, will fully be borne by the
Consumer.
Nardi will not be liable for any damage directly or indirectly
caused to people, property or animals and arising from any
non-compliance with the instructions stated in the User's Manual and
specifically those related to equipment installation, use and
maintenance.
On the expiry of the 24-month term of this Contractual Warranty,
the repair and/or replacement of any components will be borne by the
Consumer in accordance with the prices or fees applicable within the
Manufacturer's network of Authorised Technical Support Centres.
